*** NEWS ***
Every summer, our beautiful church has major
maintenance work done. Last summer to update the interior of our
church, a fresh coat of paint was applied. Every inch of the
interior was painted, even the banya (dome).
A group of very dedicated maintenance volunteers
maintain the church. Every Tuesday, they get together and complete
work that needs to be done. As a result, our church is always
looking very beautiful.
The love and support for the Church is evident by all
the various projects that have been completed. We are very
fortunate to have Peter Gandza, Walter Barktiw, Walter Lessey and William
Matthews as members of our parish. May God's blessing continue to
enrich their lives!
New volunteers are always welcome as we start planning
for summer!

*** CONGRATULATIONS ***
Recognized at the Quarterly Meeting were two very
important parishioners. They volunteered many hours helping our Parish
Priest. Every Sunday and Feast Day, one of the two men would serve
in the altar carrying on Alexander Lischyna's legacy.
These two Sacristans are dedicated and love their
church. To ensure that there was continuation in the Grouping of
Sacristans, they mentored two younger parishioners so that they would be
prepared to join the Sacristans in the future. They mentored Taras
Holub and Mark Tkach, who now are the min Sacristans.
Walter Bartkiw and Peter Gandza were recognized for
their many years of service and presented with a painting of the vines of
Life, by Larisa Symboliuk. We are very fortunate in St. Catharines
to have many parishioners who love and care for the well being of their
church. May we continue with God's blessing!

*** MEMORIAL BOARD ***
At present, there are two gigantic boards on the
Memorial Wall. The first board consists of the names of our
Founding Families. The second board consists of the names of our
Benefactors - individuals who have made a substantial donation to our
beautiful church.
We are presently establishing a third board. On
this board, the names of deceased parishioners will be listed, upon
request of the family. There will be a minimum donation of $200 to
our church to ensure their loved ones' memory will be eternal.
Deceased parishioners, who have demonstrated their
support, and love for the church should have their name engraved on the
board.
This third board is the original memorial board,
established in the early years of our parish. It has been restored from
the archives and will be hung on the wall by the Church Office.
